Fifth China-India Financial Dialogue Held in New Delhi

On 8 November 2011, the Fifth China-India Financial Dialogue was held in New Delhi, India. Dr. Wang Baoan, Assistant Minister of Ministry of Finance, China, together with Mr. R. Gopalan, Secretary (East Asia), Ministry of Finance, Government of India presided over the opening ceremony. Chinese Ambassador to India Zhang Yan was also present.

During the one day conference, both sides held in-depth discussions on international and domestic macroeconomic situation and policies, coordination in the framework of G20 and other international financial systems, enhancing bilateral cooperation among financial monitoring organs and financial institutions from both countries, etc. Important consensuses were achieved during the discussion, which not only strongly promoted financial exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, but also enriched the meaning of China-India strategic and cooperative partnership.
