FOR NOTARIZATION
The Chinese Embassy or Consulates General in the Republic of India will only notarize documents from its administrative or consular district.
Applicants from the state of Maharashtra and Karnataka may apply at the Consulate General of China in Mumbai.
And applicants from the state of West Bengal, Orisssa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar may apply at the Consulate General of China in Kolkata.
Applicants from the rest of India may apply at the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi.
The Chinese Embassy or Consulates General in the Republic of India only accept notarization application from Chinese citizens or overseas Chinese living in India.
All applicants are required to come to the Chinese Embassy in person to have their documents notarized.

FEE FOR NOTARIZATION:
Fee for natarization:Rs. 3200 in form of Demand Draft in favor of the Chinese Embassy, New Delhi.
It takes 4 working days to issue the notarized document. If you need to pick up on the next working day, Rs.1800 more express fee will be charged.
Some applications may need more time to process for the necessary supplementary documents provised by the applicant.
FOR ATTESTATION OR LEGALIZATION OF DUCUMENTS
Documents issued in India to be used in China should be attested or legalized by the Chinese Embassy or Consulates General.
The Chinese Embassy or Consulates General in the Republic of India will only attest or legalize the documents from their respective administrative or consular district.
Applicants from the state of Maharashtra and Karnataka may apply at the Consulate General of China in Mumbai.
And applicants from the state of West Bengal, Orisssa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar may apply at the Consulate General of China in Kolkata.
Applicants from the rest of India may apply at the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi.
Before submitting a legal document to the Chinese Embassy, an applicant must have the document notarized by a local Notary Public Office in India and attested or legalized by the CPV Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India (Add: Patiala House, New Delhi), or the Branch Secretariat of the Ministry of External Affairs in Chennai (Add: EVK Sampath Maligai, 7th Floor, 68, College Road, Chennai-600 006).
(Some commercial documents should be attested or legalized by certain Chamber of Commerce and Industry before submitting to the M.E.A. Please inquire information to the CPV Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.)
After the above has been done, the document should be submitted to the Chinese Embassy along with:
1. A duly-filled Applicantion Form for Attestation or Legalization;
2. Original and photocopy of the legal documents (both sides for the signed and stamped page ). If one document has 2 pages above, it shoud be stapled properly and sealed and stamped by the Notary Public Office or will be refused by the Embassy;
3. Signed Covering Letter with attestation or legalization purpose and the list of the commercial attestation or legalization document from the Company of the applicant;
4. Signed Covering letter with attestation or legalization purpose and the list of the attestation or legalization document from the applicant himself/herself if it is for civil use;
5. Original and photocopy of applicant's passport and agent's passport for civil attestation or legalization purpose.
FEE FOR ATTESTATION OR LEGALIZATION:
Civil attestation or legalization for Chinese Nationals: Rs. 500;
Commercial attestation or legalization for Chinese Nationals: Rs. 1000;
Civil attestation or legalization for Foreigners: Rs. 1600;
Commercial attestation or legalization for Foreigners: Rs. 3200;
All in form of Demand Draft in favor of the Chinese Embassy, New Delhi.
