Chinese Vice Health Minister Wang Longde Attends the Second Stop TB Partners Forum in India

Chinese Vice Health Minister Wang Longde and his 5-member party attended the Second Stop TB Partners Forum held in New Delhi, the Capital of India from March 20 to 27. Vice Minister Wang delivered a speech on China's important role, achievements, experiences and future plan in controlling TB internationally to the Forum.

 

On the sidelines of the Forum, Mr. Wang Longde visited the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and called on Secretary of the Ministry on March 26. Vice Minister Wang noted that both China and India had more TB patients than any other country in the world. Enhancing exchanges and cooperation in stopping TB between the two countries has significance in realizing the goals raised by WHO and bringing benefit to the two peoples. The Indian side extended welcome to the Vice Minister for his visit to India and expressed their willingness to enhance exchanges and cooperation in fighting against TB.

 

Vice Minister Wang Delong was also briefed on the Indian administration system and main measures of curing TB by the officials of the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare who were in charge and visited the TB clinics in Delhi.
