    Vice Minister of Science and Technology Shang Yong says China will become a major technology innovator in the world in the next two or three decades.

    At a forum in Beijing, Shang Yong says technological innovation will lead China's modernization drive and promote sustainable economic and social development.

    The minister says China will double efforts to make breakthroughs in some key areas and draft relevant policies to encourage enterprises to enhance their innovation capabilities.
