Chinese Governmental Educational Delegation Visited India (July 6-July 13)

A five-member Chinese governmental educational delegation, headed by Mr. Zhang Xinsheng, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, paid a fruitful visit to India from July 6 to 13.

During the visit, the delegation attended the international conference-Dialogue Among Civilizations from July 9 to 10, which was proposed and sponsored by India with the cooperation of UNESCO. Mr. Zhang delivered a speech that drew attention and got positive remarks from the Indian media. On top of Delhi, the delegation also visited Bangalore and Mumbai. The Vice Minister met Minister of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Secretary of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Mayor of Mumbai, and former Executive Chairman of Tata Group. The delegation visited three universities, one private middle school in Delhi, and 2 universities in Mumbai. In Bangalore, they visited Indian Institute of Science, International Tech Park and Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. The delegation had also met the representatives of Chinese students studying in India.
