21 Items of Regional Intangible Cultural Heritage of Year 2010 Approved in TAR


Twenty-one items of intangible cultural heritage were newly put onto the list of Tibet regional intangible cultural heritage under special preservation in 2010, according to Tibet Bureau of Culture.

The whole preservation project will cost 4.37 million yuan.

The new items of intangible cultural heritage include Tibetan dancing, singing, local opera, handicraft and folklore such as Dingga Repa dance, Moinba opera, Zhaxi Shoba in the Yarlung River Valley areas, Bangdian (Tibetan style apron) weaving skill, the epic Gesar, Miling Lhoba costume and Tibetan children's songs.
