The Embassy holds a reception to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the PLA

On July 29, 2019, the Embassy of People's Republic of China in India held a reception at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave Hotel in New Delhi to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Vice Admiral Srikant, Commandant of the Indian National Defense College, was present as the Chief Guest. Ambassador Sun Weidong and all the diplomats of the Embassy, along with nearly 400 people who were representatives from the Indian government, the armed forces, the parliament, the political parties and friendly people from all walks of life, and ambassadors, diplomats and military attaches from various countries, as well as Chinese-funded enterprises, overseas Chinese, Chinese international students and Chinese media in India.

The reception was hosted by Major General Yu Haibo, the Defence Attahce. The reception showcased a series of pictures themed "Safeguarding the World Peace --- Efforts made by Chinese PLA", reflecting the Chinese armed forces' participation in safeguarding world peace and fulfilling its international obligations. A short film "Chinese PLA Today 2019" was also played in the the reception, which fully demonstrates that the Chinese armed forces have always been unwavering in the the spirit of being a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, and a defender of the international order.

The guests expressed their congratulations to the festival. They spoke highly of the great achievements made by the Chinese People's Liberation Army in the past 92 years and appreciated the contribution of the Chinese army to safeguarding world peace. The reception was warm and friendly and was a complete success.
